In '65 they played at Blokker. The drummer was in an excellent form.   On the opening night of a new Beatclub Lijn 3 in Amsterdam,  near the Vondelpark, the national news made a small docu. Some music scenes included Hai in de Rai : A short documentary about a beat festival in 1968 at the Rai centre in Amsterdam. This venue normally hosted big auto show evemts.   This a small Journal item about a Beatconcours in Utrecht in sept 1966, which was won by the Mods from Nijmegen.   Another  film from a youth gathering in 1968. It features a somewhat square fashion show. This time its situated in the City of Rotterdam   Off course being from Mokum i' am starting my bandclips with the Outsiders. A nice clip with  Lying all the time .released in 1966   The Outsiders with Thinking about today. Its a bit a static view  but we cant complain, there are not many videos off this band.   The Outsiders with their Single "Dont you worry about me" As happens with many good records,  it didnt became a huge seller.   Another late 1968 single form the Outsiders Daddy died on Sateruday. I prefer the B-side,: Do you feel alright.   In days before  Youtube this it was a rare 1968 clip of The Outsiders with nice scenery of the Harbour The title is "cup of hot coffee"   n my opion the first Dutchbeat record: Dracula by ZZ& en de Maskers released in 1963   this is a another slick Performance by ZZ en de Maskers with "Shake Hands: which is,  unlike the title suggests, sung in the Dutch language   "Ik heb genoeg van jou" is the  title of this Maskerssung  from 1964. It translates to " I am fed up with you", but don't expect some garage punk....   Very early Dutchbeat from Amsterdam. 1963  Surfsong from Johnny & the Cellar Rockers. He Psssssst   Zen with their great coverversion of the musical hit Hair 1969, Its a small clubhit in the sixties Mod scene at the moment.   This tune of Roek William and his fighting Cats is an example of   soft beatmusic with orchestral support. Not bad though....   Linda van Dijk became more famous as an actress, than a singer. This is a clip of the single Stengun which she made with the Boo Boo's   Group 1850 had its roots in Amsterdam and The Hague. They were in a league of their own, and made some brilliant psych songs. ' I know'   "I wan t More" is from the same TV performance as " I know" on  NRCV in 1968,  This  was a very Christian Channel. Grroup 1850 wasn't.   This video was a promo clip for their single Zero/Frozen mind. Its my favorite single from this group    Here are some live Images from the Marathon club with Q65, the Dutch Pretty Things from The Hague. Known for their  raw music style.    This is a clip showing Q65  performing for Dutch TV. Its without the original sound. Like The Outsiders they still have many fans around the world     Another clip with Frans Krassenburg as leadsinger of The Golden Earrings. 'Daddy buy me a girl"   "That day" is a classic '66  Dutchbeat song by   the Golden Earrings from the Hague. It was recorded in England   Some weird  images accompany  the song 'Sound of the screaming day' Its the first single with Barry Hay (Ex The Haigs). Not yet as leadsinger   This is Definitefely not my cup of thea, i prefer coffee, but their is some nice dancing going on in this footage.   The Motions an English styled Mod band from The Hague. This clip made fror their soul balad "Wasted Words"   This is a video by The Motions made for a coverversion they released of  The Four Tops clasic  'Its the Same old song'    I love the fact that this video shows the band, Hu anr The Hilltops playing, but also seeing shots form the Inn-Crowd dancing   The next two videos from the 'The Haigs' are recorded  in a Modern art museum (i think Stedelijk in Amsterdam) This is Beat par excellence   Their first song in the Muesum clip is titled  Thats the way she' , The 'next one is called "Never Die '.  If your lucky you can find them on one 7 inch.   The Sandy Coast from the Hague  became a popular band in the 70s, but in the 60s they made some excellent singles. Listen to their version 'Will meet again   Another Amazing double feature from Mod band The Shane from The Hague. We pcoverd  this single:  'Gotte hold on ' with  The Kliek   On the second clip  they perform the Bside of their second single Lady Bountifull '   Well i am sure there is  nothing to tell about tthis song, yuo dont  already: know. So i just name the title:  Venus   Shocking Blue with: Never Marry a railroad man. A sung from 1970, but in a sixties spirit. See if you can spot Emma Peel!!   We know there were better times for Bonny St Claire. Watch these rare images with the Jets, accompanied with some nice dancing   The ZIPPS. A live perfomance on Dutch TV in '66 with  their Cult hit "kicks and chicks" The voioce is a  bit to loud but its stil Awesome!!   A video of a Les Baroques  with there hit single Such a cad. 1966. Monkees style stupidity   A Nice videoclip form Cuby & The Blizzards, featuring Van Morrison. 1966. This  Outside scenery is the national zoo in Amsterdam.   One of te lesser known beatbands the Dukes hails from the City of Arnhem. They produced a pretty good cover version of Friday on my mind   From Oude Pekela in the northern part of the Netherlands stems the Rodys.  They made a lot of crafty Beat records.. "Take her home was a big hit     'Sleep Sleep Sleep ' is one of the lesser known songs by the Rodys.    From Zzeeland came Dragonfly, who made only three singles, but left a lasting impress-ion with their psy-chedelic sound. the real clip starts at 1.28   The Eddysons made a clip for their Single Ups and downs. Not the best Beat, but the clip has some intersting features   Last but not least incredible color  footage of an obscure Beatband from Winterswijk in  a german documentary. 'Beatfest im Zelt"
